Raat Porir Rupkatha (2007) Kolkata Bangla Movie 18+

Raatporir Rupkatha is a film revolving around the life of a sex worker, Rajani (Indrani Halder). Rajani’s little daughter, Sabita is everything to her and the only inspiration to live her wretched life of a prostitute. She dreams that her daughter would study a lot, get a decent job and take her out of the dungeon. Kamal Babu (Jackie Shroff) one of her customers is the love of her life.He assures her to admit Sabita in a school. However currupted govt. supplier Nilu (Rudranil Ghosh)salls Sabita to a paedophile. Kamal babu is afraid to tell the truth to Rajani. After a long time Kamal Babu’s own daughter returns from abroad and Rajani mistakenly thinks her as her own daughter. Sabita, on the hands becomes a sophisticated escort and falls far a young student Saheb Khan.Rajani’s dream shatters when Sabita comes to the pros -quarter as a new tenant and Rajani recognizes her by an old work on her hand. However Sabita is able to remember the person who sold her and and Nilu is eventually murdered by Kamalbabu. Saheb Khan,who has become a police inspector helps Kamalbabu in this case and he is aquitted as no witness is found.The film ends with a happy mood, when Rajani leaves the pros-quarter with her old friends, Kamalbabu,Sabita and Dia.
